Zeiss Ikon Contina Tessar 45mm F/2.8 Lens - Folding Rangefinder 35mm Film Camera Fully Functional 524/24 Model
Here we have a beautiful and fully functional Zeiss Ikon Contina rangefinder folding camera (model 524/24). This camera is in excellent condition and works as it should. It takes beautiful photos.
The lens, film compartment, viewfinder, aperture blades, shutter blades, and general surfaces are clean and pristine.
The Zeiss Ikon Contina was made in Stuttgart, Germany throughout the early 1950s. It's a compact, capable film camera that uses the common 35mm film.
There were many Contina models, but of them all this is quite possibly the best. This is in large part thanks to its implementation of a rangefinder focusing mechanism (all of the other Continas were point and shoot - requiring the photographer to guess the focus distance). Because of this, it's very easy to make sure your shots are in focus.
The lens is a super-capable Zeiss Tessar 45mm F/2.8. The camera uses a very quiet leaf shutter capable of speeds as fast as 1/500th of a second (down to bulb mode).
On our sister-site Casualphotophile.com, we reviewed the camera. This review can be seen here.
This is just a truly gorgeous camera, and one any Zeiss fan (or any camera fan, really) should have in their collection.
It will be carefully packaged and shipped immediately.
