The shutter works correctly at all speeds and fires smoothly. The viewing screen is clean and clear. The mirror is excellent. The film back is tight and without wear. The film insert is unmarked and operates flawlessly. Film advance is perfect and precise.

The lens is in similarly perfect condition. Glass is clean and clear, coatings are perfect, there is no dust or debris. The aperture blades are dry and actuate perfectly at all f-stops. Stop down preload and depth of field preview works correctly. The lens cap fits tightly. The bayonets are perfect.

The included hard case is solid and tight, without major wear anywhere.

The Rolleiflex SL66 is a 6x6 medium format SLR camera produced by Rollei from 1966 until 1982. At the time of its release, it was a very advanced camera offering many useful and innovative features that the competing Hasselblad did not.

These features include the ability to tilt the lens on the focal plane, much like one does in a large format view camera. This allows for greater depth of field in close up photography, or perspective control when holding the camera with the focal plane at angles to the subject.

Also, the SL66 uses bellows focusing, which allows the camera to focus on subjects much closer to the camera compared with competing medium format SLRs like the Hasselblad.

In addition, lenses can be reverse mounted on the camera for extreme macro close up photography.

It is a fully mechanical, fully manual camera, meaning that batteries are not required to use this camera. It can use any 120 film.
