Here we have a Minolta AB-800 Accessory Base for Dynax Maxxum 8000i Alpha 8700i AF 35mm Film SLR Cameras.

The Minolta AB-800 is an accessory which fits onto the base of the camera and allows the CH-800 or CH-800L cases (NOT included) to be attached. A locating pin and shaped ridge around the edge ensure the base is fitted correctly, it's secured by screwing into the camera's tripod socket, and the base has a press-stud for fitting the cases. There's a strap lug at one end for fitting a hand strap or end-hanging neck strap (not included). The base is made in Japan with mostly plastic construction, rubber inserts and some metal parts.
