Olympus Pen W (Wide) Half Frame 35mm Film Camera with Original Case - Fully Functional
Here we have a rare Olympus camera in fully functional condition.
The camera is in excellent mechanical condition. All functions operate as they should. The viewfinder is clean and clear, the frame lines are nice and bright. The focusing mechanism works perfectly, as does the aperture control and shutter speed selector. There are some age blemishes showing in the black paint, the extent of which can be seen in the photos.
The shutter works perfectly and actuates with rapidity. All shutter speeds are accurate. The aperture opens and closes as it should. The lens elements are in great condition without balsam separation, haze, fungus, or scratches. The film compartment is clean and free of debris and damage. The frame counter works as it should.
The Olympus Pen W is the rare wide angle version of the original Olympus Pen S half-frame camera. Made for just one year between 1964 and 1965, it is the rarest of all standard manufacture Pens.
It's a half-frame camera, meaning that it can shoot double the number of exposures as a standard 35mm film camera (72 shots per 36 exposure roll of film, for example). This also means it's one of the smallest 35mm film cameras ever made.
It exposes this film through a 25mm f/2.8 E. Zuiko lens and offers shutter speeds from 1/8th of a second to 1/250th of a second, plus Bulb more for long exposures. The scale focus methodology allows for extremely quick shooting and accurate focus.
It is an all-mechanical, all-manual camera without a light meter or auto-exposure. A serious shooter's camera.
The camera will be packaged securely and shipped immediately.
